PORT ADELAIDE made it three wins from three games at Adelaide Arena at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai.
Port’s 70-win over St Kilda in China was its third win in a row, after defeating Gold Coast at the venue in the previous two seasons.
Adelaide Arena is becoming for fortress for the Power:
A five-goal to three opening term set up for the victory for Port Adelaide, with the side having its most accurate outing in front of goal for the season.
The Power finished with 22.7 to record its highest score of the year.
Port has now defeated Gold Coast twice and St Kilda once on Chinese soil, to give it a perfect 100 per cent record at Adelaide Arena at Jiangwan Stadium.
Howard looks at home as a forward:
With a little re-shuffle of the magnets against the Saints, senior coach Ken Hinkley sent Dougal Howard to the attacking end of the ground.
Howard played as a forward in his junior football days, and he looked comfortable as Port’s tall forward.
The 23-year-old finished with 15 touches and two goals, and dominated the aerial contests, taking nine marks.
More silverware for Boak:
Travis Boak continued his stellar start to season 2019, with a best-on-ground performance against the Saints in Shanghai.
Boak was unanimously awarded the Shanghai Medal, finishing with 33 touches, seven clearances, six tackles and two goals in Port’s 70-point victory.
The former skipper also had seven inside 50s and three goal assists in his dominant performance.
Robbie Gray’s day out:
Robbie Gray has faced some injury worries so far in 2019, but the mercurial midfield/forward was at his best against St Kilda in Round 11.
Gray kicked three goals from his 28 touches against the Saints, with his best goal coming from a tight set shot in the final quarter.
The 31-year-old had a game-high eight clearances and five tackles to go with his great work on the outside, to show he can still match it with the best in the contest.
