ZAK Butters has continued his stellar start to the 2023 season, claiming the MG MVP fan vote for Round 8. 

The young tyro was influential in his side's narrow win over the Bombers, which saw Port Adelaide claim its fifth consecutive victory.

His trademark courage and class was on full display, racking up 28 disposals, six clearances and six tackles to go along with nine score involvements.

This is his fourth consecutive game with 25+ disposals as the zippy operator continues his rise in the middle. 

He claims the five votes and moves up to equal fourth in the MG MVP Leaderboard, alongside fellow young star Jason Horne-Francis.

Taking out second place in the Round 8 voting was Miles Bergman, owing primarily to his defensive efforts and composure.

Bergman's six marks and nine intercept possessions proved crucial in what was an extremely tight contest at Adelaide Oval.

Rounding out the votes this week was All-Australian Connor Rozee, versatile big Jeremy Finlayson and young talent Jason Horne-Francis.

Port Adelaide now begins its Round 9 preparations, with the side set to travel to Tasmania to face North Melbourne.
