OUT: J Rioli 15 (suspension)
LAST WEEK’S SUB: F Evans 31
Port Adelaide will make one change ahead of Saturday’s game against North Melbourne with small forward Francis Evans replacing Junior Rioli.
Rioli was handed a two-match ban by the AFL tribunal on Wednesday regarding an incident that occurred in Round 8.
Assistant coach Chad Cornes expressed earlier this week that Evans was the ‘logical’ choice to replace Rioli if required, with the 21-year-old impressing coaches since joining the club.
Evans has been elevated from tactical substitute to the starting 22 for the first time this weekend, in what will be his third AFL game for the Power this season.
Kane Farrell has been named in the emergency group and could be a chance to have his first taste of football since fracturing his cheekbone in Round 6.
Joining Farrell as emergencies are tall forward Ollie Lord, defender Lachie Jones and midfielder Jackson Mead.
Those emergencies not required on Saturday will be eligible to play in the SANFL on Sunday, where Port Adelaide will take on South Adelaide at Alberton Oval.
The tactical substitute will be named from among the emergencies one hour before the first bounce at 1:40pm ACST / 2:10pm AEST at Blundstone Arena.
