The club teamed with Principal Partner AGIG for the “Goals to End Hunger” campaign with $100 donated to Foodbank for every goal scored by the Power at the Adelaide Oval in 2018.
As well as the $13,400 donation, staff from Port Adelaide and AGIG combined on Monday to pack a record, nearly 500 Christmas Hampers at Foodbank SA’s Edwardstown headquarters.

Mr Thomas said the latest “Goals to End Hunger” results meant that since 2015 the Club has put more than 118,000 meals on the table of those in need via Foodbank SA.
“We think everyone has the right to a decent meal, especially during the Festive Season,” Mr Thomas said.
“Foodbank SA provides a service that is so important to some of the state’s most vulnerable people and we are proud to have teamed with AGIG to play a small part in the exceptional work it does.”
Foodbank SA CEO, Greg Pattinson thanked Port Adelaide and AGIG for their support.
“Christmas is our busiest time of the year at Foodbank SA when so many vulnerable South Australian families rely on our service,” he said.
“The support of Port Adelaide and AGIG is invaluable in ensuring we have the ability to keep up with the demand for service, especially in the Festive Season.
