Though a gallant performance, Kerryann Rankine (representing the Women’s Aboriginal AFL Academy)
won’t be running in the grand final of the Tyrepower Dash for Cash during Round 23.
However, if there was a Coaches Trophy, or a Most Courageous Player award presented… then Kerryann would win hands down!
Playing for the Women’s Aboriginal Academy team in the curtain raiser to our Round 13 clash with the Bulldogs, Kerryann and the girls were subjected to one of the biggest and most constant downpours seen at the Adelaide Oval.
Not only did Kerryann put in a solid performance in the rain-drenched curtain-raiser, but sopping wet and shaking like the proverbial ‘leaf’, she then ‘buttered up’ to run a solid race in this week's instalment of the Tyrepower Dash for Cash sprint.
Well done Kerryann, under the most trying of conditions you deserve to take a bow… and a hot shower!
Leaderboard after Round 12:
1) Daniel Rosewater Football Club 7.12 seconds
2) Beau Australian Defence Force 7.40 seconds
3) Jarrad Welcome to Australia 7.55 seconds
