WINGMAN Xavier Duursma is in the mix for selection this weekend, adding further depth to an already strong midfield group.

Duursma left the ground in Round 7 with a knee injury, with imaging later confirming he had torn his PCL.

He is likely to walk straight into the SANFL side Saturday if testing deems him fit, but could get an AFL call-up should the right position become available.

Junior Rioli is poised to make a comeback – the small forward was a late withdrawal from the Geelong clash at Adelaide Oval, after coming down with the flu.

Rioli’s illness made way for mid-season draftee Quinton Narkle to make his Port Adelaide debut, with Narkle making the most of his opportunity, recording two goals and 13 touches.

If Rioli returns, Narkle could come out of the side, or with a position shuffle, could push up into the midfield, where he has been playing in the SANFL since arriving at Alberton.

AFL captain Tom Jonas has spent three games leading the Magpies, with the experienced defender toiling hard at state level, averaging 17.3 disposals, 5.7 rebound 50s and 4.3 tackles.

The skipper will be hoping for a recall in the coming weeks, as the Power looks to build on its 12-2 win-loss record.

Port Adelaide will name its side for Saturday night’s Round 16 match against Essendon on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST.
