ROUND 16 hero Dan Houston has claimed the fans' MG MVP vote for Port Adelaide's win against the Bombers.
In the dying seconds of the game, Houston claimed a mark just beyond the 50 metre arc and with confidence, prepared for the set shot. After the siren had blown, the right-footer launched from 55 metres out - sending it sailing just over the goal line to secure his side the four points.
Although his match will be rightfully remembered by his staggering post-siren shot, the defender enjoyed a well-rounded performance across the whole evening - recording a game-high 32 disposals (15 contested), 13 intercept possessions and seven marks in tough and wet conditions.
It continued his red-hot form, with the 25-year-old firmly in All-Australian conversations.
Houston claims the maximum five votes and moves up to seventh on the MG MVP Leaderboard.
Runner-up in the Round 16 vote was midfielder Connor Rozee.
Rozee led all players in goals (three), tackles (nine) and marks (nine) - adding 23 disposals and 616 metres gained.
He holds second place on the fans' leaderboard behind fellow young tyro Zak Butters.
Rounding out the votes this week were Zak Butters (635 metres gained), Aliir Aliir (eight intercept possessions) and Kane Farrell (10 score involvements).
Port Adelaide now shifts its attention to Gold Coast, with the Power set to host the Suns on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.
