PORT ADELAIDE has made three changes for this weekend’s clash against Gold Coast, as Charlie Dixon and Jeremy Finlayson both prepare to celebrate individual milestones.
Lachie Jones, Junior Rioli and Sam Hayes have all been named in the side, with Jones to make his return following a month-long recovery from a fractured jaw.
The defender comes straight back into the 22 and will be keen to make an impact after a standout effort in his last AFL appearance, against the Western Bulldogs in Round 12.
Hayes last featured at AFL level in Round 11 of last year and has earned himself a recall to the ruck, with Scott Lycett out for up to a fortnight with a minor knee injury.
Small forward Junior Rioli will also make a comeback, after missing the last two matches due to illness and personal reasons respectively.
Port Adelaide will be chasing a 13th straight win on Saturday night, as Dixon marks his 200th AFL game and Finlayson reaches his 100th.
The two sides last met in Round 15 of last year, when the Power held on for a two-point victory at Adelaide Oval.
Last week’s last-minute debutant Dante Visentini has been named in the emergencies alongside Riley Bonner, Jase Burgoyne and Quinton Narkle.
Those players not required in the AFL will be allowed to play in the SANFL match on Saturday against Woodville-West Torrens.
The tactical substitute will be selected from among the emergencies and announced one hour before the first bounce at 7:10pm ACST.
