Out: Barkla (quad), Burgoyne, Duursma, Evans, Jonas, Mead, Sinn (AFL)
PORT ADELAIDE has made several changes to its side for Saturday’s SANFL clash against North Adelaide at Alberton Oval.
A host of players have been drafted into the AFL line-up for the trip to Melbourne to face Carlton including captain Tom Jonas, defender Jase Burgoyne, forwards Francis Evans and Ollie Lord and midfielders Jackson Mead and Josh Sinn.
After two games back from a knee injury, Xavier Duursma has also been promoted to the AFL side, while a quad injury will keep Nathan Barkla out.
Coming into the SANFL line-up to face the Roosters are Riley Bonner and Quinton Narkle, who will add some valuable experience to a young group.
Narkle has averaged 31 disposals and six clearances in his two SANFL games for the club since being picked up in the mid-season rookie draft.
Nick Moore also returns to the Magpies side to provide some grunt around the ball after missing the win over Woodville-West Torrens through suspension, while Dylan Aldridge and Cody Szust are the other inclusions.
Evans, Sinn, Ryan Burton and Sam Hayes are the AFL emergencies and could feature at SANFL level if not required in the later AFL game at Marvel Stadium.
Last time the two sides met, the Roosters got the better of the game, holding on late to win by eight points at Prospect Oval.
Saturday’s game at Alberton Oval gets underway at 2:10pm.
