PORT ADELAIDE’s members and supporters have rallied around vulnerable South Australians by giving generously during the club's Round 17 clash against the Suns.
The generosity of the True Believers resulted in over 16,000 meals put on the table for thousands of individuals and families who desperately need support across the state.
It comes at a critical time for the state’s largest hunger relief charity, with more than two-million Australian’s reportedly running out of food in the last year, as the spike in cost of living continues to hit home.
The kindness shown by Port Adelaide’s members and fans further strengthens Foodbank’s crucial work in the community, as they continue to support the work of front-line hunger relief charities who are working hard to feed South Australians who need support.
For those who were unable to donate at the game on the weekend, there are food donation bins and money donation tins located at The Precinct at Alberton until July 21.
For the cost of a coffee, you could feed 8 South Australians. No donation is too small, with every cent, or non-perishable food item, helping Foodbank fight the hunger crisis in Australia.
