PORT ADELAIDE will challenge the two-match ban offered to forward Willie Rioli by the AFL’s Match Review Officer.

Rioli has been charged with striking Collingwood’s Nathan Murphy in the last quarter of Saturday night’s narrow loss at Adelaide Oval.

The MRO deemed the strike to be intentional high contact with medium impact, and Rioli was unable to have the two-week sanction downgraded with an early plea.
