JARRAD Redden has been omitted from Port Adelaide’s 25-man squad.

He is the only confirmed omission from the team that defeated the GWS Giants by 56 points at AAMI Stadium last Saturday.

Included in the 25-man squad are experienced senior players Dom Cassisi and Robbie Gray, midfielder Andrew Moore and ruckman Brent Renouf.

Although Renouf has been installed in the squad for Sunday’s Balfours Showdown, Hinkley says a decision on whether the Power will play one or two ruckmen is yet to be made.

"We wanted a slightly more experienced ruckman in our squad and we think that Renouf is the best fit for that along with Matthew Lobbe," Hinkley told portadelaidefc.com.au.

"We've got to make some decisions as to whether we have a second ruck however.”

Hinkley says the players included in the squad have all been in excellent form in the SANFL along with a number of other names who were in the mix at selection and continue to pressure for spots.

But he says Cassisi, Gray, Moore and Renouf have been especially impressive.

“We’ve had a number of guys in really good form in the SANFL,” said Hinkley.

“Moorey played Round 1 for us and went back and was really strong in the SANFL last week.

“Dom and Robbie have come along really well in their rehab programs and they’re at a stage where they’re ready to play.

“Now we’ve got to find an opportunity for them to come into the side.”

Port Adelaide’s final 22-man team will be announced on portadelaidefc.com.au on Friday afternoon.
