Saturday afternoon’s NAB AFLW clash at Alberton Oval will be one of the biggest events of the season, with a signing session and fireworks show set to follow an exciting game of football.

New recruit Maddy Keryk will also mark her 50-game milestone in what will be the first AFLW fixture played in a twilight timeslot at the venue.

Following the game, the whole AFLW team will participate in a signing session, a DJ will be playing tunes and, thanks to major partner Santos, a special fireworks display will light up the sky.

Port Adelaide head of AFLW Juliet Haslam is excited to see the Port faithful flock to Alberton for the big event.

“Our new light towers have given us the opportunity to host games in different timeslots and we’re looking forward to making history with our first twilight AFLW match,” Haslam said.

“We love our Alberton crowd, and our playing group really feels their support on and off the field.

“This weekend, we want to see Alberton filled with fans, to enjoy some fantastic football, and stay on after the game for an enjoyable night.

“It’s an affordable family outing, right in the middle of school holidays, with plenty of colour and fun going on around the game. We can’t wait to see everyone there.”

Children can get their face painted, collect their free, limited edition player cards and head onto the oval for kick-and-catch following the game.

Limited bookings are still available for dinner at The Precinct, while bars and food outlets will remain open after the game.
