AARON YOUNG and Billy Frampton will wear new numbers in 2017.
Young will discard the No. 40 that he wore since debut in 2012 for the No. 11 vacated by delisted forward John Butcher.
Young's move allows him to wear his favourite number. In doing so he takes a famous number for Port fans - worn by Magarey Medallists Scott Hodges and Davy Boyd during its extensive history.
Frampton will leave behind the No. 38 for the No. 14 worn previously by delisted 100-gamer Paul Stewart.
No. 14 has been worn by former best-and-fairests Harold Oliver, John Cahill and Stephen Paxman.
It leaves numbers 2, 13, 27, 28, 30, 38 and 40 free for the 2017 season.
