THE AFL has confirmed Port Adelaide’s fixture for the first 14 games of the 2024 season, with six of the club’s first eight matches to be played at Adelaide Oval.

Rounds 16 to 24 remain as floating fixtures, with exact days and times to be confirmed at a later date, however opponents and venues have been locked in for the entire season.

With six of the first eight rounds at home, Port Adelaide opens its season at home on Sunday 17 March against West Coast, before taking on Melbourne, Essendon, Fremantle, St Kilda and Adelaide at Adelaide Oval between Rounds 3 and 8.

The Power will play five Thursday and Friday primetime games under lights, with all five available free-to-air on Channel 7.

Other highlights include a Friday home game during Anzac Round, a home Sir Doug Nicholls clash in Round 10 and feature games in blockbuster timeslots against Essendon, Melbourne, Hawthorn and Carlton.

In addition to the Crows, clubs that Port Adelaide takes on twice are Richmond, St Kilda, Melbourne, Fremantle and Carlton.

Port Adelaide will travel to Perth, Gold Coast, Geelong, Sydney and Tasmania, and will also visit Melbourne five times, with three games at the MCG.

Port Adelaide chief executive Matthew Richardson says members, fans and commercial partners should be excited for what’s to come in 2024.

“To have six of our opening eight rounds hosted at Adelaide Oval is a pleasing way to start off our season and offers great accessibility to our members and fans,” Mr Richardson said.

“We also have the privilege of hosting a Friday night Anzac Round game, continuing the long-term significance of this game for our club and our partnerships with the RSL and defence communities in South Australia.

“Seven of our first 14 games are available on free-to-air tv, with six of those in primetime Thursday, Friday or Saturday night timeslots, which is a big win for our commercial partners.

“We are also fixtured to play in every Australian state, giving our fans around the country the best possible opportunity to see their team play live.”
