Veteran midfielder Travis Boak looks likely to celebrate an incredible 350 games at the AFL level.

CURRENTLY sitting on 348 AFL games, Travis Boak could become the first Port Adelaide player to play 350 at the highest level.

The 35-year-old continues to show his value to the side, managing 21 or more games in every season over the past decade, except the COVID-19 shortened 2020 campaign when he played all 19 games for the club.

He will need to play just two games in 2024 to reach the milestone and extend his lead at the top of Port Adelaide’s AFL games played.

The only other player to play 350 league games in Port Adelaide’s history is the great Russell Ebert, who managed a club record 392 in his career.

Among the other potential milestones in 2024, Ollie Wines could hit game 250, needing to play 22 games in the year.

Ryan Burton and Sam Powell-Pepper are each closing in on the 150 milestone – both currently sitting on 139 games.

Burton played 47 games with Hawthorn before crossing to Alberton, where he has added another 92.

His fellow wingman, Dan Houston, is just four games off the same milestone – having played 146 games since being taken by the Power in the 2014 Rookie Draft.

Young stars Todd Marshall and Zak Butters look likely to each celebrate game 100, having featured 97 and 93 times, respectively, at the senior level so far.

Midfield bull Willem Drew (81 games) and new recruit Esava Ratugolea (75) are also a good chance to crack triple digits.

Mitch Georgiades will play his 50th AFL game on his next appearance and Jason Horne-Francis (41 games), Lachie Jones (35) and Jed McEntee (32) could also get to their 50-game milestones in 2024.

Goals

Charlie Dixon is closing in on 350 AFL goals, needing 17 in 2024 to reach the milestone. He booted 94 of those while playing at the Gold Coast and his other 239 for Port Adelaide. The big man currently ranks seventh on the club’s all-time AFL goal kickers list.

Jeremy Finlayson is just one goal away from 150, having kicked 90 goals at the Giants and the remaining 59 in Port Adelaide colours.

Fellow key forward Todd Marshall is on 139 career goals heading into the 2024 and looks likely to reach 150 in the early stages of the season.

Connor Rozee needs just two goals to take him to 100, while Ollie Wines (93 goals) and Willie Rioli (91) are poised to get there in 2023.
