PORT Adelaide star Travis Boak says the Power's poor form this season will not be a factor in his decision to stay with the club or seek a trade to Victoria.

The South Australian club picked Boak, who hails from the Geelong area, with the fifth selection overall at the 2006 NAB AFL Draft. He has become one of the Power's best and highest-paid players over 101 games with the club, but falls out of contract at the end of the season.

His playing future has been the source of constant speculation since it became known he would speak with his close-knit family about a potential move back to Victoria during the bye week.

Speaking after the Power's 58-point drubbing at the hands of cross-town rivals Adelaide, Boak said his situation off the field would be the driving force behind his decision.

"I'm happy playing here at the moment and a performance like that doesn't play on my mind at all," Boak said.

"We've spoken about what I'm going through at the moment and it's got nothing to do with how tonight went.

"Honestly, that is the furthest thing from my mind. I just want to play footy, get out there, help the group and get some wins and try and push for a few wins towards the end of the year.

"I'll make my decision when I'm ready. I'll continue to talk with my family and the club and when I'm ready I'll make my decision."

Port Adelaide slumped to 15th place on the premiership ladder on the back of the big loss to the Crows, which was the club's 10th defeat from 14 games.
