PORT ADELAIDE gun recruit Steven Motlop has been nominated for the AFL’s Goal of the Year for his match-winning effort on the run against Adelaide on Saturday night.
Motlop received a handpass from Sam Gray just outside 50 and danced inside one Crows defender before straightening and finding space between four opponents to kick the goal that secured a famous Showdown victory with just 21 seconds left on the clock.
