IN: J Burgoyne 7
OUT: F Evans 31 (omitted)
JASE BURGOYNE will return to the side this week, with the young winger being named in Yartapuulti’s final team to take on Hawthorn during Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
Burgoyne will be back after missing last Friday’s win over Geelong with groin soreness, while small forward Francis Evans has been omitted from the 23.
Connor Rozee got through full training on Friday but has been withdrawn from the squad, with the club opting for a conservative approach to his recovery.
Zak Butters will captain the team for the second consecutive week, after leading his side to a winning Round 9 performance at GMHBA Stadium.
Club stalwart Travis Boak (Port Adelaide) is set to play his 356th game, equalling Paul Roos and Bruce Doull in 16th on the all-time VFL/AFL games played list.
The tactical substitute will be announced an hour before the first bounce from the interchange bench, which comprises Burgoyne, Josh Sinn, Brandon Zerk-Thatcher, Jed McEntee and Jackson Mead.
Evans has been named an emergency, along with Jordon Sweet and Tom Clurey.
Sunday’s game against the Hawks will take place at Adelaide Oval from 2:50pm ACST, with gates open from 1pm.
Yartapuulti will honour Sir Doug Nicholls Round this weekend with a march to Adelaide Oval, a First Nations marketplace, and other special activations around the ground. Find out more information and timings here.
