PORT ADELAIDE will know the extent of Alipate Carlile’s knee injury when it receives scans results on Tuesday.

The suspected posterior cruciate ligament injury could keep the 167-game backman out for, at worst, the rest of the season.

At best he may return for the final few games of the year.

“We’re looking at an extended time out for Bobby, but we’ll wait for scans before applying more rigid timeframes,” Power high performance manager Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“At this stage we’re expecting them to show up a PCL tear.”

With no other injuries reported from Port Adelaide’s 67-point win over Collingwood, attention turns to the SANFL where Jimmy Toumpas will be assessed for a rolled ankle and Robbie Young will be scanned for a suspected broken collarbone.

The Magpies should welcome the return of Cameron Hewett and Aidyn Johnson from injury, while Jack Hombsch has been slated for a return around the bye.
