FORWARDS Charlie Dixon and Todd Marshall are among a host of players in the mix to return to Port Adelaide’s line-up for Thursday night’s Qualifying Final against Geelong.

Dixon was a late withdrawal with illness from the side which beat Fremantle in Perth in Round 24, while Marshall has not played since suffering a concussion in the Round 22 win over Melbourne.

Both are well and available for inclusion, with the club needing to make at least one change to cover the loss to injury of defender Kane Farrell.

Selectors are likely to weigh up whether to include defenders Dylan Williams or Josh Sinn – both also left footers like Farrell.

Sinn travelled with the side to Perth as an unused emergency while Williams took five marks and had 11 disposals for the SANFL side against Central District in its final outing for the season. Williams played the most recent of his five AFL games this year in the Round 20 win over Richmond.

Ollie Lord was the other unused emergency in Perth.

After several weeks as the AFL substitute, Quinton Narkle could not have done more to stake his claim for an AFL return playing as a midfielder for the Magpies at Elizabeth in Round 19.

He led the game for disposals (32), clearances (seven) and tackles (seven), while also taking seven marks and booting two goals.

Midfielder Will Lorenz was another standout against the Dogs, having 25 disposals, seven clearances, five tackles and a goal, while ruck Ivan Soldo was also solid with a game-high 35 hit-outs along with 12 disposals, three clearances and two tackles.

Port Adelaide will on Wednesday evening name its side for Thursday night’s Second Qualifying Final against the Cats.

The game at Adelaide Oval gets underway at 7:10pm ACST with more gameday information available at our AFL finals hub.
