The Port Adelaide Football Club is excited to launch a new self-guided immersive tour of the club Museum at Alberton which is free for anyone with a smartphone or tablet device.

Hear the roar of the crowd on game day, historical audio from club legends Bob Quinn, Russell Ebert, “Big Bob” McLean and John Cahill among others and wind your way around the Alberton Oval precinct learning more about the Port Adelaide Football Club’s incredible journey over more than 150 years.

Experienced broadcaster Chris Dittmar and former club captains Tim Ginever and Erin Phillips narrate the tour, guiding users at their own pace along ten stops, starting in the museum on the ground floor of the Precinct at Alberton.

The tour then winds amongst the collection of memorabilia and historical images, through the replica locker room theatrette and up onto the deck that overlooks Alberton Oval before finishing on the terraces behind the northern goals.

With something for Port Adelaide fans and general history buffs alike, the tour will ensure you come away both informed and entertained.

The online and audio tour was made possible thanks to an Activating Heritage Tourism grant from the Tourism Industry Council of South Australia, in partnership with the Department for Environment and Water.

To take the tour, use your smartphone or tablet device to scan the QR codes at any one of the 10 stops, or visit https://pafcmuseumtour.com.au/. Wearing headphones will ensure you enjoy the full experience. If you forget your own, some headphones will be available to borrow at the reception desk.
