Port Adelaide will host its first home game of the 2025 season on Saturday afternoon taking on Richmond at Adelaide Oval, and it will be one fans won’t want to miss.
Travis Boak will break a long-standing club record, fans will have the chance to farewell three retired players, and the club will show our appreciation for our most dedicated supporters in our annual member recognition round – here’s everything you need to know.
All the action kicks off in the South Plaza when gates open from 2:15pm. Fans can expect roaming Fringe performers, drummers, a DJ, an opportunity to shop the latest merchandise, meet Thunda, and free roaming face painters.
And to thank True Believers for their support in 2025, a total of 10,000 flags will be given away across the gates on entry.
The Kids Zone is back again for the 2025 season, and fans can expect it to be bigger and better than ever before.
Located between the South and East gates, the free zone will be packed full of fun for kids of all ages including a football skills activity, inflatables, colouring in, and the chance to collect the latest player postcard collectable.
Player signings will also return for this season and will take place in the South Plaza from 2:40pm – 3:10pm.
Supporters are then encouraged to be in their seats by 3:15pm to say farewell to Charlie Dixon, Trent McKenzie and Tom Clurey from Port Adelaide when they do a lap of honour in classic MG cars. McKenzie will finish his lap by also kicking the first goal of the game.
With Travis Boak set to surpass Russell Ebert’s record for most games played for Port Adelaide this weekend with 393 (373 AFL games and 20 official pre-season games), there will be a historic moment to celebrate this achievement that fans won’t want to miss at 3:35pm.
Boak will also move into 11th position on the VFL/AFL games played list, overtaking Adam Goodes.
At quarter time, two lucky fans will have the chance to compete to win KFC Zinger Burgers for the whole stadium, and the Vilis slingshot will make its debut awarding doughnuts to the crowd.
The main break will see an entire bay surprised with FruChocs, and at three quarter time fan favourite segment the Perfect Pear returns again for 2025, and we check in with our couple to see if they’re a match.
There will be all that, and so much more this Saturday afternoon.
Tickets for the game are on sale now, with a Port Adelaide membership remaining the cheapest way to attend.
Supporters can access a special four games for the price of three deal now which unlocks access to our upcoming blockbusters including our Round 9 Showdown LVII.
Reserved seat members that can’t make the game can return their seat for sale for this weekend with the chance to earn credit towards their 2026 membership.
