PORT ADELAIDE will be throwing it back to mid 2000’s for the club’s Retro Round next Sunday against St Kilda.
To celebrate Retro Round the club will be rocking its iconic lightning guernsey for the first time in 20 years, with the nostalgic jumper now available to purchase at the Port Store at Alberton, online, and at the game.
The eye-catching jumper was first worn in the 2004 Wizard Cup pre-season competition, with the design utilising new sublimated technology to print realistic lightning imagery onto the fabric.
Affectionately known as the “Electricity” and “Spilt Milk” guernsey, it was first worn as the club’s clash kit through the end of the 2006 AFL season.
Since then, it has become a cult classic with Power fans and is still frequently spotted throughout the crowd at Adelaide Oval.
Carefully replicated in partnership with Macron, the 2025 edition showcases the unique lifelike lightning design, with its striking teal colour, distinctive triangle pattern background, and original neckline making it a must have for every Port Adelaide fan.
Nostalgia will be in the air at Adelaide Oval as the guernsey sparks memories of the club’s early AFL era and stars such as Warren Tredrea, Byron Pickett and Peter Burgoyne, as well as cult heroes Brett Ebert, Toby Thurstans and Steven Salopek.
Fans can get their hands on the 2025 Retro Lightning Guernsey in the Port Store at Alberton from Monday, 24 March, with the store extending its open hours until 8pm.
There is also stock available online now, with a limited number of jumpers also available at the game.
Tickets to the Round 4 retro clash against the Saints on Sunday, 6 April at 2.50pm are still available.
