PORT ADELAIDE has named its squad for Friday night’s SANFL game against South Adelaide with two forwards to return from injury.
Both Jed McEntee and Tom Anastasopoulos have been included for their respective first games of the season. McEntee has overcome a minor hamstring strain while Anastasopoulos has recovered from an ankle injury suffered in pre-season.
Young ruck Dante Visentini, who missed the narrow loss to Sturt prior to Gather Round with soreness, has also been named, while SANFL-listed players Bailey Chamberlain, Cormack O’Reilly and Kye Roberts have each been included on an extended interchange bench.
Coach Hamish Hartlett has lost forward Tom Cochrane to the AFL squad for Sunday’s clash with Sydney with young defenders Rome Burgoyne and Jacob Moss to miss out.
Given the AFL side will not be finalised until Friday afternoon, AFL emergencies have not been included in this SANFL line-up and are eligible to play against the Panthers.
The Good Friday SANFL game gets underway at Alberton Oval at 7:10pm.
Tickets are available at the gates and the membership counter with free entry for people under the age of 18.
The Precinct at Alberton is open for dinner with bookings available online, while the Port Store will remain open until 9pm.
There will be no post-match interviews.
If you can’t get to Alberton, the game will be broadcast on 7Mate, 7Plus and SANFL Now.
