Port Adelaide rookie Tom Cochrane will be sidelined for an extended period as he recovers from a foot injury.
Cochrane underwent surgery on Tuesday after further scans last week detected stress fractures in his navicular.
Winger Josh Lai has escaped surgery after sustaining an undisplaced fracture during the final minutes of Friday's SANFL game, while Travis Boak is managing a back issue, which will continue to be assessed.
Josh Sinn is recovering well after being subbed out of Saturday's game at Adelaide Oval with concussion, while Jack Lukosius has commenced running, with an aim to reintegrate into training soon.
Forward Todd Marshall is making good progress in his achilles rehabilitation and is expected to start running within the next week.
Port Adelaide will name its team for Saturday's game against the Western Bulldogs on Thursday at 5:50pm.
