What an amazing win on the weekend which was sadly soured with the injury to the in-form Ollie Wines (MID, $550,000). He scored 80 before dislocating his wrist and could miss the next six weeks.
Brad Ebert (MID, $616,000) had another great game with 111 but it was Matthew Broadbent (DEF, $416,000) who stole the show with a top score of 113. Broadbent has scored 74, 51 and now 113 this year, and if he can keep this up, he might be worth sneaking into your backline.
ON THE RADAR
The Power play their next three games at Adelaide Oval against the big birds of the game in the Hawks, the Crows and the West Coast Eagles. Jasper Pittard (DEF, $425,000) is one who is firmly on my radar after his last two scores of 92 and 128. As we know, finding reliable defenders who can average 80+ in Fantasy is incredibly hard and Pittard might be the answer we are all looking for.
Brendon Ah Cee (MID, $120,000) had his first run on the weekend and might just fill the void left by Wines. He came on as the sub and scored 25 and might get more time on the ground in the coming weeks.
TOP 5 SCORERS
#1 – 113 Matthew Broadbent (DEF, $416,000)
#2 – 111 Brad Ebert (MID, $616,000)
#3 – 103 Jay Schultz (FWD, $418,000)
#4 – 98 Hamish Hartlett (MID, $493,000)
#5 – 92 Jasper Pittard (DEF, $425,000)
WHAT’S COMING UP
This week the boys will clash with the reigning premiers. Last year, Brad Ebert (MID, $616,000) scored with ease against them posting 115 and 105 on two occasions. Fingers crossed he can produce that again this week and that Robbie Gray (FWD/MID, $549,000) can bounce back from his 71 from last round. I’m tipping a Port win and these two to have big games!
