Peter Jackson Player of the Week
Sam Gray
Sam has been in some good form recently but it has been only in two to three quarters of footy at a time. This week it was across all four quarters that he played with real energy and speed. 27 disposals and two goals a good days work.

Jake Neade
Sluggish start again but by the end of the game good numbers with three goals. Just would like early effort to be in the game right from the start.
Mitch Harvey
I like the fact he is being far more competitive with his role. Really trust him with his endeavors in the ruck and forward of the ball.
Steven Summerton
Very unlucky not to be player of the week. Extremely consistent performer for us, uses the ball so efficiently and shows great compliance in his role.
Aaron Young
Could have been disappointed with his omission from the AFL team, Youngy came back with a super attitude and to work on some things which we felt he had to improve on. Won plenty of the ball and defensively did his job.
Tom Logan
I just enjoy what Tom brings each week, leadership, toughness and an awesome attitude. Played very well down back and defended extremely well across all four quarters.
Tom Clurey
Started on Martin and had a good battle there but was needed to go back into defence to assist us against a very tall Adelaide forward structure. Read the ball well and stopped some of the early run-on that Adelaide had in the first half.
John Butcher
Very tough day for John. Bit a quarter off his tongue in a contest, but still managed to see out the game. We’re still after his speed and repeat leads and chases.
Sam Russell
Was not as consistent as previous weeks, I do like the fact his opponent has to earn his marks or goals. Sam has been more physical against his opponent and this must become part of his DNA weekly.
Louis Sharrad
Lots to like about Louie, gives his all in every contest and did a good job on Martin once Clurey went back, and finds the ball consistently at this level.
Paul Stewart
I feel Stewy is growing his game weekly with regard to a good balance of offence and defending. I also like the leadership and direction he is giving us around our structures.
Darcy Byrne-Jones
Good performance but still a touch inconsistent at times. He used his speed really well rebounding and pressing at the opposition and we’re also stoked for him kicking his first SANFL goal.
Logan Austin
Had a big ask standing a couple of the 200cm+ Adelaide forwards. Was beaten a couple of times but shows lots of maturity for his age and is a very competitive kid. He also managed to sneak forward and snag two goals at the right time.
Mason Shaw
Mason has shown recently that he is able to play a few different roles for us. Tall back, ruck and a key forward, he has definitely been thrown around a bit, but I like the fact he has embraced every challenge with a positive attitude.
Brendon Ah Chee
Like Youngy, Arch came back to the Maggies with a ripper attitude and it showed in his performance. Strong around the stoppages and he also looked dangerous with some time spent inside our forward 50.
Jarred Redden
Continues to give us a contest in the ruck and looked dangerous again posted up in front of goal. Provides a contest around the ground and, as we know, can really use the ball well when he gets it in his hands.
Jesse Palmer
A very solid performance this week, I felt he was able to pressure the opposition better than in previous weeks but also find the ball through the midfield. Around the goals he was very lively finishing with three majors.
Sid Masters
Continues to learn a lot about SANFL footy and getting good defensive positioning against his opponent. He’s showing he can play at the level and is very composed when he wins possession.
Andrew Moore
Back from a three-week suspension, Moorey kept right away from the umpires, but not from the ball. Worked really hard around stoppage but also provided good spread from contests to help support us and outnumber the opposition.
Johann Wagner
Very solid performance again, getting a good feel of our structures and how we need to move the ball. He’s using his speed well now to hunt the opposition, and kicks goals at important times in games for us.
Anthony Biemans
Just provides a strong and tough contest for us in the air and on the ground every time he plays. Offers really good flexibility with being able to play many positions on the ground and can also hurt the opposition with his ability to break lines with his kicking.
