JACKSON Trengove will undergo further scans to shed more light on his ankle injury, despite X-Rays clearing him of a fracture.
Trengove left the field with assistance in Port Adelaide’s 33-point loss to Richmond on Sunday night, and was taken to hospital for X-Rays after the game.
But while there was no break to his ankle, Trengove will have an MRI to provide the club’s high performance team with a greater understanding of his injury.
“Jackson hasn’t fractured his ankle, but we’ll send him for an MRI to get a better understanding of what he’s actually done,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“The X-Ray just showed that the ankle wasn’t broken, but we suspect there’s other damage in there, and we won’t be exactly certain of what he’s done until the MRI results come through.”
With no other injuries reported from Sunday night, just four names are on the Power’s injury list.
Billy Frampton and Dougal Howard are nearing a return within the next fortnight, in what will be their first appearance in a Port Adelaide jumper against either Central District or West Adelaide.
Jared Polec continues to progress through his rehabilitation, although remains on crutches to alieve pressure on his injured foot.
