PORT ADELAIDE is expected to take an experienced squad to Perth for its JLT Community Series clash with West Coast at Leederville Oval on Sunday afternoon.
With a 26-man squad available in the pre-season competition, a number of younger players and new recruits will be putting their hand up for selection.

New recruits Jack Watts and Jack Trengove both got their first taste of competitive footy in Power colours last Thursday, after being included in Port Adelaide’s squad for the inaugural AFLX tournament.
Trent McKenzie and Tom Rockliff both performed strongly in the club’s Family Day intra-club match. Rockliff played a dual midfield-forward role, racking up plenty of the footy and hitting the scoreboard, while McKenzie was extremely composed using the football off half-back.
Ex-Cat Steven Motlop will be pressing his case for a club debut after overcoming a groin niggle, while Lindsay Thomas will be assessed by medical staff before being given the all clear.
Exciting draftees Dom Barry, Kane Farrell, Joel Garner and Jake Patmore all impressed in last week’s AFLX tournament, with the quartet also performing strongly at Alberton in the intra-club.
Riley Bonner was at his silky best at Coopers Stadium on Thursday evening, while Dougal Howard will look to cement a spot in the Power’s back six after a good performance in the internal trial.
