HAWTHORN forward Jarryd Roughead has been offered a one-week ban for a high hit on Swan Ben McGlynn, which would see him miss the Power's Round 10 blockbuster with the Hawks.

Roughead's contact was assessed as negligent, low impact and high contact, but with his previous carry-over points, an early guilty plea will still see him miss a week.

The Hawks have until 11am tomorrow to decide whether they'll appeal the ban.

Hawthorn will also be without star forward Cyril Rioli, who faces up to a month on the sideline after injuring his hamstring against Sydney on Friday night.

Meanwhile, Paul Duffield has been offered a reprimand for a high bump on Chad Wingard.

Duffield caught Wingard high after his disposal in the second quarter, but his good record means he can accept a reprimand and 70 points to his future record with an early guilty plea.
