THEY are an expression of art, passion and loyalty using your body as a canvas.
They are a painful and (mostly) permanent reminder of different parts of a person’s life at any particular time.
And sometimes they are amazing.
That is exactly the case for one tattoo that went viral over the weekend.
You may have come across this piece of art which now appears on the calf of one passionate Port Adelaide supporter.

The tattoo even had club Hall of Fame member Kane Cornes impressed.
Cornes had his 2004 AFL Premiership tattoo removed back in 2014 so we thought we could offer him some suggestions from the best Port Adelaide tattoos we have come across.
The Ken Hinkley/David Bowie effort is right up there with this tattoo on the ankle of supporter Aimee Finlayson from back in June 2015.

And who could forget this work of art which now graces the skin of Port supporter Steven Moore.
A big Port Adelaide fan, Savva Harpas went further with a new logo design, which we actually don’t mind.
In Port Lincoln during a community camp, we found another passionate Port Adelaide man who wanted to demonstrate his love for the club through a couple of tattoos.
40-year club volunteer Margie Gill wears her heart on her sleeve and a magpie on her ankle.
And another honouring our '04 Premiership side...
But we want to know what other Port Adelaide tattoos you have or have seen around the place!
