PORT ADELAIDE midfielder Tom Rockliff is free to face Hawthorn on Saturday after a match-day report laid against him at the weekend was overturned on review.
Rockliff was reported for tripping Gold Coast Suns player Anthony Miles in the second quarter of the Power’s 38-point win on Sunday.
The Match Review Officer deemed that Rockliff tripped Miles with his left foot after the Sun took possession of the football and tried to evade the Power midfielder.
But the MRO decided there was insufficient force to constitute a reportable offence.
He decided no further action should be taken.
It means Rockliff remains eligible for the Brownlow Medal and is available for Saturday’s trip to Launceston to tackle the Hawks.
