THERE are a number of players in contention to return to Port Adelaide’s side for its Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash with Hawthorn in Launceston on Saturday afternoon.

Co-captain Tom Jonas will be assessed after the group’s main training session on Thursday, and could make an appearance for the first time since Round 5.

Star forward Robbie Gray is also in the mix to return, while Hamish Hartlett looks set to return in the SANFL.

Scott Lycett pulled up with a sore adductor from the clash with Gold Coast, and if he is ruled out, it may pave the way for Peter Ladhams to make his AFL debut if Ken Hinkley wants to stay with a two-pronged ruck set-up.

Willem Drew went back to the SANFL last weekend and was extremely impressive, collecting 32 touches in a commanding midfield display.

Jack Trengove was again superb with 38 disposals, nine tackles and a goal, while Tobin Cox dominated in the forward half kicking five goals.

The final teams will be announced on Thursday evening.
