PORT ADELAIDE midfielder Sam Mayes suffered a concussion in the Port’s four-point victory over Glenelg on Sunday afternoon.

Mayes didn’t take any further part in the game after coming off during the third quarter, but the Magpies held on - despite being a rotation down - to book a spot in this year’s grand final.

The 25-year-old will be assessed over the next fortnight, with the Magpies to play either Glenelg or Adelaide in the season-decider on Sunday 22 September at Adelaide Oval.
