PORT ADELAIDE midfielder Jack Trengove will go into Monday night’s Magarey Medal count as one of the favourites after a quality home-and-away season with the Magpies.
Trengove was in scintillating form at the start of the year, amassing 30+ possessions in his first seven games before getting injured in Port’s Round 8 loss to Glenelg.
The 28-year-old missed five games through injury, but he was still able to find plenty of the football upon his return.
He was named in Port Adelaide’s best on 11 occasions across the season.

Drew averaged nearly 28 touches for the season, with his best game coming against Woodville-West Torrens where he amassed 38 disposals and kicked a goal.

The 21-year-old should poll well in Port’s Round 6 win over Central District, where he had 28 touches, 40 hit-outs, 10 clearances and booted two goals.

Glenelg’s Luke Partington is a red-hot favourite to take out this year’s Magarey Medal, while Adelaide’s Patrick Wilson, South Adelaide’s Joel Cross and Sturt’s Sam Colquhoun should all be high up on the leaderboard at the business end of the count.
