PORT ADELAIDE midfielder Joe Atley has been fined $200 after being charged with striking during the Magpies narrow win over Glenelg on Friday night.
The 19-year-old was cited by the SANFL Incident Review Panel for striking the Tigers’ Brad McCarthy in the first half at Gliderol Stadium.
The contact was deemed to be at the body, intentional and with low impact.
Atley faced a one-match ban, but he chose to accept the charge and was instead fined $200 and reprimanded.
It means the ball magnet is free to take on the Eagles at Alberton on Saturday.
