PORT ADELAIDE games record holder Kane Cornes will lead the coverage of the 2018 John Cahill Medal after being announced as the event’s MC along with his wife Lucy Cornes.
Kane Cornes is a fitting host of the event as a four-time winner of the prestigious award as Port Adelaide’s AFL best and fairest player.
Cornes took out the John Cahill Medal in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012, equalling former captain Warren Tredrea’s record of four club champion awards.
In 2015, Cornes became the first player to reach 300 games for Port Adelaide in the AFL and he still holds numerous records within the club.
Now working in the media, Cornes is known for his outspoken manner and polarising views on the game.
His wife Lucy is a businesswoman and entrepreneur and brings a touch of glamour as the pair offers an engaging and informative presentation style.
Tickets are selling fast with very limited spots available to attend the prestigious event at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday, October 5.
The night is a chance to celebrate and reflect on the efforts of everyone involved with the club during the 2018 season and will feature the presentation of several AFL and SANFL awards, milestone tributes and season highlights, culminating in the presentation of the club’s Best and Fairest award.
