PORT ADELAIDE will open its SANFL season with a Friday night blockbuster away to West Adelaide on the 29th of March.
The Magpies will travel to City Mazda Stadium to begin their 2019 campaign before consecutive home games against South Adelaide and then premiers North Adelaide.
The SANFL fixture was released on Thursday, with Norwood to take on Glenelg at the same time as Port Adelaide faces West to open the 2019 SANFL Statewide Super League.
The Magpies will enjoy a trip to Port Pirie to play Adelaide in a SANFL Showdown at the newly upgraded Port Pirie Oval in Round 13, which is the competition’s Indigenous Round.
Last year the sides also met in Indigenous Round when they played in Kadina.
The Magpies will have nine home games with four on Saturday afternoons and five on Sunday afternoons.
It will be a difficult end to the season with just one game at home in the last four for the Magpies with trips to Noarlunga, Unley and Elizabeth in rounds 15, 17 and 18 respectively.
Port Adelaide’s last home game will be against the Eagles on Sunday 11 August, with the final minor round game of the season to be against Central District away on a date and time to be confirmed.
