IN the closest vote for this year’s Australian Outdoor Living Fans’ MVP, Jared Polec has emerged on top in Port’s Round 6 clash with North Melbourne.
Polec received 44 per cent of the votes, eight per cent more than Sam Gray, while Tom Jonas finished with 17 per cent for his great defensive job on Kangaroos’ spearhead Ben Brown.
The ex-Lion finished with 34 disposals, 12 tackles and a goal, to finish the match with a round-high 156 fantasy points, as he continues his fantastic start to the season.
Gray kicked four goals - taking his season tally to 10 - from 19 possessions to be the Power’s most prolific forward against the Kangaroos at Etihad Stadium.
Jonas had 19 touches, seven marks, nine rebound 50s and 10 one-percenters in a strong defensive display that kept the high-scoring Roos to just 10 goals for the game.
