PORT ADELAIDE forward Sam Gray has become the third Power player to win a Mark of the Year weekly vote, after his nomination in Round 13.
Gray was nominated for his superb pack mark in the last quarter of Port Adelaide’s clash with the Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval.
He leapt above three defenders in the goal-square to pull down the hanger and then kicked the goal, as the Power went on to record a 57-point victory.
Gray received 51.8% of the public vote to beat Sydney’s Ben Ronke (29%) and Hawthorn’s Luke Breust (19.2%).
The small forward joins Jack Hombsch and Paddy Ryder who are already in the running for the Woolworths ‘Mark of the Year’.
