FIVE Port Adelaide players received votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award after the Power’s impressive win over North Melbourne on Saturday.

Sam Gray received the most votes with eight out of a maximum ten, after the small forward booted four goals and had 19 disposals.

He also had nine marks, four clearances, three tackles, two spoils and three inside 50s.

Jared Polec polled seven votes after racking up 34 disposals, four clearances, 12 tackles and a goal.

Brad Ebert wasn’t far behind in the coaches’ eyes, picking up seven votes.

Ebert managed 33 touches, six marks, five clearances, 11 tackles and four inside 50s in an industrious display.

Tom Jonas’ shut-out job on Kangaroos forward Ben Brown earnt him four votes, while utility Justin Westhoff grabbed three votes after another important performance around the ground.

Kangaroo midfielder Ben Cunnington was the only player from his side to poll from the game, scoring himself two votes.

Trent Cotchin (Rich), Max Gawn (Melbourne), Wayne Milera (Adelaide) and Isaac Smith (Hawthorn) all received the maximum ten votes from the AFL coaches for round six.

Hawthorn ball magnet Tom Mitchell has returned to the top of the overall leaderboard after his 45-disposal effort against St Kilda, but Collingwood’s Steele Sidebottom, Richmond’s Dustin Martin and Melbourne’s Max Gawn are not far behind.
