THE SIX POINTS
1. The last time Port Adelaide lost the first two rounds of the season was 2013, where they bounced back to finish just outside of the finals.
2. Despite making it through another game without any injuries, expect some movement in with the Magpies as the AFL side looks to shake things up after their Showdown loss.
3. Rookie-listed Kane Mitchell is doing his best to catch the selectors' eyes with 39 disposals and a goal against Adelaide, while John Butcher is also putting his hand up for the AFL side with his four goals.
4. North Adelaide will be sweating on the fitness of some of their experienced players, most notably George Thring who will need to overcome a knee complaint picked up in their last game.
5. Chad Cornes's Magpies will need to tidy up their disposal efficiency ahead of this weekend. North Adelaide had fewer disposals than Norwood in their Round 2 match but came out almost 10-goal winners.
6. By winning their Round 2 game against Norwood, North Adelaide recorded their first league victory since Round 1, 2015. The last time they won two consecutive games was the end of 2014.
FINAL WORD
A frustrated Chad Cornes has highlighted the Magpies disposal efficiency, goal kicking and skill errors out of the loss against Adelaide, and will be looking to bounce back with the clash against surprise packet North Adelaide.
