PORT ADELAIDE will face Essendon in a blockbuster clash on Friday night in Round 23, after the AFL released the final round matches this afternoon.

Port host the Bombers at Adelaide Oval in the last home and away round of the season, with both teams pushing for a finals birth.

The two clubs previously met in Round 4 at Etihad Stadium where the Bombers ran out 22-point winners.

The final eight will then have a week off before the finals series starts on 6 September 2018.
