MAGPIES CAPTAIN Steven Summerton returns to the side this week following injuries to Will Snelling and Chad Wingard forcing change at both AFL and SANFL level.

The 200-gamer was dropped in unfortunate circumstances where SANFL rules AFL-listed players to be selected first.

But Summerton returned with a "great attitude" according to League coach Chad Cornes and was an automatic inclusion for this Saturday's game.

His form in the reserves was superb - 37 disposals - and he'll be back providing his class outside of stoppages against the Bulldogs. 

Emmanuel Irra, who was given special dispensation to play Reserves last week, will also come into the team.
