JARED POLEC will have scans on Monday and will likely face a fitness test after straining his hamstring on Saturday night.
It came in the final quarter of Port Adelaide's win over the Lions at the Adelaide Oval.
While Ken Hinkley spoke of a possible stint on the sidelines for Polec during his post-game presser, the Power's high performance team is hoping any time spent off field will be short lived.
"Polly will have scans early next week and we'll get a clear idea from there, we think from the initial look we've had that he might be up for a fitness test ahead of Collingwood," head of high performance Darren Bugess said after the game.
No other injuries were reported from the Power's win.
Port Adelaide plays Sturt at Peter Motley Oval at 2.10pm on Sunday 18 June.
