PORT ADELAIDE travels to Flinders University Stadium in Noarlunga to face South Adelaide in a huge Round 15 Statewide Super League clash on Sunday afternoon.
The Magpies are coming off a 24-point loss to Glenelg last weekend - having previously won five consecutive games before that point - falling to fourth on the ladder.
South Adelaide are currently sitting in sixth place - one game out of the top five - after a 45-point defeat at the hands of Norwood.
In recent encounters between the two sides, South holds a 3-2 head-to-head record, with the last four games at Noarlunga being split 2-2.
Port will be missing its two leading goal-scorers for its huge clash with the Panthers. Billy Frampton (23 goals) is serving his last week of a two-game suspension, while Tobin Cox (20) is still missing through injury.
The Magpies will look to young gun Boyd Woodcock, who has also been in good form in front of goals, kicking 17 majors to this point of the season.
Ball magnet Jack Trengove returned to the side for the first time since Round 8 against Glenelg last weekend, and will be better for the run.
Trengove has averaged 34 touches a game in 2019, and he will be an important player in deciding the winner on Sunday afternoon.
For the Panthers, Joel Cross has had a fantastic year, kicking 22 goals for the season and averaging 24 disposals a game.
Tom Whittlesea has kicked 16 majors, while Liam Fitt (13 goals), Sam Overall (13) and Kyle Emery (12) have been important in attack.
The last time the two sides met this year, South ran out 36-point victors at Alberton Oval in Round 2.
Whittlesea booted five goals for the visitors in a dominant second-half display, with the Panthers kicking nine goals to four after halftime to claim victory.
Matthew Rose had 27 touches and nine marks, while Joel Cross was influential with 24 disposals and two goals.
Trengove was brilliant for the Magpies with 42 touches, 13 marks, 10 tackles and seven clearances, while Trent McKenzie and Kane Farrell each kicked two goals for the Magpies.
The sides will be announced on Thursday evening, ahead of the huge clash between South Adelaide and Port Adelaide at Flinders University Stadium from 2.10pm on Sunday afternoon.
