IS this the most hideous piece of merchandise to ever hit the shelves of Alberton’s Port Store?
Port Adelaide launched its official Ugly Sweater via Twitter today, and the internet has responded.
Some were horrified.
Others were in awe.
One thing’s for sure – the ghastly, jumper is making waves across the world.
The festive-themed, black, white and teal atrocity joined the Port Adelaide merchandise range this afternoon.
And it’s so awful, it’s brilliant.
Demand for a Port Adelaide festive ugly sweater has grown over the years, given the popularity of the iconic NBA and NFL ugly sweaters.
According to Port’s head of merchandise Ben Hurst, the Port Store phone has been ringing off the hook with Port fanatics desperate to get their hands on one.
“We all know Port has had a few really ugly clash guernseys in our time, so we thought, why not deliver it to the club’s official merch range?” Hurst said.
“We are honoured to be thought of having the ugliest, most offensive festive sweater in the AFL in time for Christmas.”
Shoutout to Chad Wingard who, very kindly, modelled this horrific outfit for us. It wasn't easy for him.

@mickyb273 @PAFC @theportstore just in time for Xmas. I would consider switching allegiances from the Crows for this sort of stash
