FOUR Port Adelaide players will be moving lockers after changing jumper numbers ahead of the 2020 AFL premiership season.
Todd Marshall has inherited Paddy Ryder’s No. 4 guernsey after his move to St Kilda.
It is a fitting shift given the special bond the two shared during their time together at Alberton, with Ryder gifting Marshall a signed No. 4 jumper upon his departure to Moorabbin.
Dan Houston has made the biggest climb up the number chain, shedding his No. 43 to become just the fourth player to don the No. 5 for Port Adelaide in the AFL, following in the steps of player Life Members Brendon Lade and Matthew Broadbent.
Meanwhile, new recruit Wylie Buzza will take on Marshall’s vacant No. 13 and Sam Mayes will move back into the No. 32 he wore for 101 games with the Brisbane Lions.
Port Adelaide’s 2019 draftees will be allocated their new numbers following the conclusion of this week’s NAB AFL Draft.
Port Adelaide’s remaining guernsey numbers: 14, 19, 31, 34, 43, 44, 46.
