2011, Richmond 14.8 (92) def Port Adelaide 13.11 (89) at Traeger Park
2002, Port Adelaide 10.11 (71) def Richmond 9.8 (62) at Docklands

THE SIX POINTS
1. The two sides have only played twice in the pre-season competition over the past ten years, in the Northern Territory and Albury, before that the Power defeated Richmond in the night grand final in 2002.
2. With Round 1 approaching, this will be the last chance for players to get a game in before the season proper starts - both clubs will name full-strength teams.
3. Charlie Dixon is expected to play his first game time in a Power jumper after recovering from meniscus surgery. Chad Wingard is also set to play.
4. Richmond will add some fire power with vice-captain Brett Deledio set to come into the side that comprehensively beat Hawthorn in NAB 2.
5. Regular season rules, including a 90-rotations interchange cap - will be in effect on Thursday in the first proper test for AFL clubs.
6. Supergoals will continue to be played, despite full rules otherwise coming into effect, so a few players might hunt some long range shots to give back to their junior clubs.
FINAL WORD
Despite being a NAB Challenge game, expect a fired up Port Adelaide as it looks to rebound from its poor result against Melbourne and score a pre-season win.
